Want to know what a typical day at Kenmore West Kindy looks like?
Here’s a quick overview of our kindy’s daily routine:
8.35am: Families arrive, bags and other times are stored away before some fun outdoor play
9.15am: Morning meeting commences to discuss the day’s program, activities and learnings
9.45am: Indoor and outdoor program. Children are offered morning tea during this time
10.45am: Tidy-up time followed by a group meeting
11.00am: More indoor/outdoor program activities
12.15pm: Tidy-up time followed by group games, stories and songs
12.30pm: Lunch time
1.15pm: Rest time – stories and quiet activities
2.00pm: Quiet play with stories and games
2.30pm: Pick-up time

The daily routine is flexible, responding to the needs and interests of children
We value children’s thinking and play and aim to allow children uninterrupted play periods
Children will have the opportunity during the group meetings to share their ideas and plan the experiences
they will be engaging in. Group meetings will also include songs, games, dancing, stories, and discussions
Bathroom routines are built into the day (e.g. toileting and washing hands prior to meals and rest time)
