Our community-based and not-for-profit kindergarten has been supporting families in the area since 1972, with their child’s early learning and transition to school journey.
As one of the top kindergartens in Brisbane’s 4069 and western suburbs area, we are dedicated to providing affordable and high-quality early education to children in our community.
We have a curriculum that is designed to empower children to become independent, creative, confident, and resilient thinkers and learners. We’re a proudly affiliated C&K kindergarten, guided by the C&K Curriculum Approach which also incorporates the National Curriculum’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). You can read more about Our C&K Learning Approach here.
At KWK, we have passionate staff, educators and parents who all work together to create a warm, supportive environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive.
Our professional educators bring over 100 years of combined teaching experience and are committed to upholding our reputation of delivering high-quality early learning programs in a safe and nurturing environment. Our educators achieve this by tailoring the kindy’s learning programs to suit the needs and interests of each child, and encourage parent involvement to foster a strong community spirit. Learn more about our friendly, supportive and experienced staff/teaching team here.
As we are a not-for-profit kindergarten, KWK is managed by an elected volunteer Management Committee, consisting of parents of children currently attending the centre. You can find out more about our Management Committee and how roles are filled here.
What sets us apart is our beautiful outdoor learning environment. We are nestled in a peaceful and natural setting, providing ample space for children to explore, learn and play. Our lush outdoor environment boasts a bamboo forest, mud pit and kitchen, muddy creek, climbing tree, a state-of-the-art playground, thriving vegetable garden and chickens, which provides a range of unique learning opportunities for our kindy kids.
When your family joins our kindy, you become part of a welcoming, nurturing and passionate community fostering learning, discovery and growth.
